Our last day in Israel

Our students had an opportunity to partake in a very fun and exciting drama class in school.  They played all sorts of drama games, and the pictures below depict a family portrait they were asked to make.

We later went to a place called the Jaffa Institute, located in South Tel Aviv. This organizations functions very similarly to Sova and services low income families all throughout the South Tel Aviv area.  Our students packed boxes of food that will later get distributed to families in need.

After a short break in the afternoon, we were all invited to Noam Barda's home, one of the Israeli students, for a farewell party.  We had an opportunity to interact with the Israeli parents and to hear how much they enjoyed getting to know our students.

  1. Dear Karen and Rabbi Goor,
Words cannot express the gratitude we have for all that you did to give Asher an extraordinary experience in Israel. Our day today, between catnaps, consisted of endless stories of his incredible adventures and the wonderful connections he made with the all the kids and his host family. I know that he will cherish the memories of this trip forever!
    Happy New Year!
    With love and thanks,
    Marla
